Profit = (sell price − buy price) × shares − buy fees − sell fees + dividends

Worked example

Buy 10 shares at 100 and sell at 120. With 5 in fees on each side and 20 in total dividends, net profit is 210 on an invested cost of 1,005.

Common question

Can I use this for ETFs or fractional shares?

Yes, for a simple purchase and sale. Fractional quantities are supported. Adjust quantities and prices for splits before entering them; this tool does not apply corporate actions automatically.
