- Total invested cost

How the calculation works
This is an unleveraged buy-then-sell model. Fees and dividends are total cash amounts, not percentages or per-share amounts. Use one currency for every input. Taxes, currency conversion, short selling and corporate actions are excluded. Enter any applicable transaction charges in the fee fields.
Worked example
Buy 10 shares at 100 and sell at 120. With 5 in fees on each side and 20 in total dividends, net profit is 210 on an invested cost of 1,005.
Common question
Can I use this for ETFs or fractional shares?
Yes, for a simple purchase and sale. Fractional quantities are supported. Adjust quantities and prices for splits before entering them; this tool does not apply corporate actions automatically.
